Feel that Luxurious Leather! I've guess we've left 'Taco Mac'

I had lunch here for the first time today. Used to be “Micks.” I’ve heard that banks will not loan money to a restaurant which is replacing a restaurant that just went out of business, unless the new business model is a little different. “Parker’s” describes itself as a “Steak House” and looks to be angling more towards the “fine dining” classification than was “Mick’s.” For instance, the servers at “Parker’s” have fancy green chef-like jackets.
All very nice, but I’m worried that “Fine Dining” in Decatur is a difficult place to be if you are a new restaurant in Decatur. There are already the excellent restaurants, “Feast,” “Wahoo’s,” and “Watershed,” and “Sage” just went out of business. The new restaurant “Leon’s” is also going after that “near fine-dining” category. I think it would be a better financial bet if they could have aimed for a lower-cost menu category. But I wish “Parker’s” the best though, and it is true that there are no other “Steak Houses” in downtown Decatur and that patio is really choice–a great place to take someone who’s from out of town
